The Safe-T-Sand is a patented professional accessory and the 3000 grit sheets are not paper like tradtional wet sand paper.  The Safe-T-Sand sheets are latex and because they are so flexable they make a very shallow burnish which is very easy to polish out by hand when compared to tradtional wet sand paper.  One sheet will wet sand approx  3 linear feet about the size (4") of the Safe-T-Sand sponge.
